Business Leadership Triangle Commercial Association of Realtors President in 1993 . In 1998, Realtor of the Year.
Triangle Commercial Real Estate Women charter member of the CREW Board of Directors 1997. Received the CREW Champion Award in the categories of Promotion of Women in Real Estate (2000) and Networking (2002, 2003 & 2005).
Raleigh Chamber of Commerce Served a three year term on the Board of Directors between 1996 and 1999 and also served for the 2002-2003 year. In 1998, selected as the Chambers Outstanding Young North Carolinian for the Raleigh Jaycees.
Women in Business In 2004, Worthy was named one of 25 women in the Triangle area to receive the Women in Business Award from the Triangle Business Journal.
Public Service Raleigh Zoning Board of Adjustment Six years including one year as Chairman.
Triangle Transit Authority In 2001, Worthy was appointed by the Raleigh City Council as a Trustee for the Triangle Transit. Currently serving as Chair.
N. C. Institute for Political Leadership 2003 Selected as a Fellow for the N.C Institute for Political Leadership. (fellowship program designed to improve the practice of democracy in North Carolina through knowledgeable and ethical leadership.)
2003 School Bond Campaign, Finance Committee Co-Chair -- Worthy co-chaired the effort to raise over $200,000 in support of Wake Countys successful bond vote for schools and libraries.
Volunteer Service Wake Education Partnership Director from 1994-2003. Chaired NetDAy 96. Board Chair in 1997-98. New Schools Project Board of Advisors of the New Schools Project which is a joint effort by the State of North Carolina and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to redesign high schools in NC.
Downtown Raleigh Alliance Board of Directors 2001-2005. Appointed by the Raleigh City Council in Jan 02 to serve as co-chair of the Fayetteville Street Visioning Process.
Artsplosure -- In May 2003, Worthy and her husband chaired the 24th annual Artsplosure Spring Jazz Festival.
